Our purpose is to further peace individually
and collectively in our world, and to be an
educational resource to our community.
Our attitudes and demeanor will be open,
respectful, and caring toward all people and
the environment around us. Our activities are
safe and appropriate for all family members
In our demonstration and reflection of nonviolence,
we will use language and behaviors
that reflect peace. We will not return
violence, verbal or physical, toward any
person or other creature. We will not incite
others to do violence.
We will accept the consequence of our deeds.
We strive to act with compassion toward
all beings at all times including those with
whom we disagree.
International Womenís Day
On Monday, March 8 at 6:30 p.m. Evergreen Peace will host a moderated Zoom discussion on Vice President Harrisís book The Truths We Hold. Even if you havenít read it, you can still participate in the discussion as we talk about our VPís inspirational journey. Her book covers the core truths that unite us, and the long struggle to discern what those truths are and how best to act upon them. Please join us on International Womenís Day to celebrate this woman, all women, and share our unique challenges.
